BCS Blockparty (1/07/07)

Went to the BCS Block Party last night and had a blast. The City of Glendale really has their act together for having hosted this event for the first time. I parked the 'ol Jeep at the Westgate Mall in a sea of cars, and sheepishly stepped into a long line with dozens of other football fans. We were herded onto buses (nice ones too) and transported five miles away to what seemed like another world of multicolored lights, hot air balloons, giant television screens, bands on every corner, marching bands and cheer squads, tribal dancers, break-dancers, coffee shops, carnival rides, and thousands and thousands of people just hanging out. There were Rowdy Ohioans and Floridians, Pontificating Politicians, and curious Arizonans such as myself, gearing up for what should be an epic football battle. What a night!
