A date on the calendar.



A date that has been there for the last 11 months waiting, ominously distant.

A date that seemed as if it would never arrive...

Is suddenly here.

Muir Trail 2008.



A sequel of sorts.

But better than all of those "Saw" movies.



All of them.

Two weeks from now my friends and I will embark on a journey that will bring completion to a journey that began 2 years ago.

We will travel by foot for over 100 miles.



We will summit one of the highest peaks in North America.



We will outrun creatures of all shapes and sizes.



And we will learn things about ourselves that we never knew before.

The bags are packed.

The journal is blank.
